Would you like to know a clever way to make Christmas-themed clothes from store-bought clothes?
My grandson is a Christmas Eve baby. I think it is unfair that he can't wear "First Christmas" bibs. He came home from the hospital in a large Christmas Stocking!
Well, I bought him denim coveralls & a denim jacket. I am sewing Polar Bear Santa Claus fabric patches on pockets, the back of the jacket, on the sleeves. I feel so clever becuase the outfits will be so cute! I am buying 1/4 yard of fabric that has "patchwork" Christmas motifs. I have several outfits that I bought in size 18 months and am hand stitching the appliques so that it can be removed around January 10th. (It will probably be my job.)
I thought I would share this idea and hope other people will share their ideas for babies/toddlers/children's crafts.
Sweet grammie. It's never too late if you live through your grandchildren...My nephew also is born on Christmas day so we celebrate his birthday the week before, while they're still in school so he doesn't feel cheated out of presents or a special day just for him.
